The first half of this issue (where you speak to tech policy and some popular perceptions surrounding it) is of particular interest to me as a fledgling in the "tech policy" space. This piece voiced some of the things I've felt for some time, but struggled to articulate -- so thank you for that. But it also got me wondering what should be my toolbox of first principles for understanding and analyzing tech policies and regulations? Are there any resources or any insight you'd like to send my way? Would be very valuable. (Shruti Mittal, Digital Republic)

As a high school student, I commend CITP for this important initiative. While most discussions center around higher education, it’s crucial to consider K12 perspectives when it comes to GenAI. Personally, I find myself torn between the ethical use of GenAI and leveraging it to enhance my learning experience. With that in mind, I would recommend CITP to engage with High school Students, their organizations and K12 teacher organizations in helping shape up GenAI policies for K12 education.

I appreciate so much the clear language for describing such a difficult and multifaceted issue.

Did you notice if the founding of startups is following the gaps in AI regulation? It comes to my mind that new businesses are flourishing where regulation doesn't reach, for the moment.
